About the client

Buzz Bee Toys, Inc., is a toy company with offices in the U.S. and Hong Kong known for high quality, innovative toys offered at reasonable prices.

The challenge

In a market ruled by toy giants such as Hasbro, Zuru, and Primetime, Buzz Bee Toys (BBT) needed to increase sales and reinforce their brand positioning. So they approached Venerate Media Group (VMG) to enhance their digital strategy.

The solution

First, VMG assembled a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to increase brand recognition and maximize BBT’s content reach. The result exceeded our client’s expectations: we created a total of 8.3 million impressions in just 6 months. What’s our secret? We used a three-tiered approach, mindful of our client’s unique positioning in a competitive market.

1. Social media campaign

First, VMG created and managed a social media strategy with nine giveaways. This alone increased the Facebook and Instagram follower count by 400 and garnered 671,000 total impressions. We also launched the official Buzz Bee Toys Twitter page and TikTok profile, which immediately attracted the attention of industry influencers and boosted impressions.

2. Influencer marketing

Since YouTube is the most popular streaming app for every age group, and Tiktok is the second-most-popular app for the 11-13-year-old demographic, influencer marketing was a major element of our strategy. By reaching out to a network of influencers, we garnered millions of impressions on social media. BBT was featured in posts by relevant influencers with hundreds of thousands of followers.

3. Retargeting

For most websites, only 2% of web traffic converts on the first visit. So we focused on retargeting: we displayed BBT Ads on other websites and attracted visitors who left the Buzz Bee Toys website without completing a purchase. This allowed us to recapture their attention and bring them back to the website, and gain 53,605 Ad impressions.
